FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We're committed to feeding your mind as well as your body.

What is Qi?

We’re glad you asked. Qi [pronounced chee] is the life force energy that is in everything and everyone. When your Qi is in balance, so are you.

What are Yin and Yang?

To put it simply, Qi consists of two opposite yet complementary energies: Yin and Yang. Yin is an inward energy that is still and cool. Yang is an outward energy that is active and warm. Both men and women have yin and yang energy. The more balanced these energies are, the more vibrant you feel.

How do Qivo products enhance my Qi?

Our Yin Blends are formulated to nourish and enrich your Yin energy and our Yang Blends are formulated to supplement and enhance your yang energy. There are benefits of eating both varieties, since the more equally these two energies are combined, the more vibrant and balanced you feel.

What are the causes of imbalance in the body?

Well, the short answer is, life itself. In a perfect world, your life would be a balance between doing and being, giving and receiving, working and playing. But “real life” isn’t perfect. Most of us feel stressed, exhausted and pulled in a million different directions. Exercise, meditation, the right amount of sleep and the right kind of nutrition can help you feel more energetically balanced and of course, so can Qivo snacks.

What does feeling balanced actually feel like?

Feeling balanced is different for everyone. Generally speaking, when you feel more in balance, your mind, body and spirit feel better, more vibrant – more alive. You feel focused, centered and in the moment. And more equipped to take on anything that life throws at you.

Are Qivo’s Yin flavors just for women? Are Qivo’s Yang flavors just for men?

Absolutely not. Because men and women have both yin and yang energy, there are benefits to eating both. Besides, they’re so delicious that the whole family will want to enjoy.

What proof do you have that Qivo’s ingredients are Yin or Yang?

Great question. Our proprietary testing process is derived from a kinesiological method that allows us to be precise and differentiate between both energies. Using feedback from these methods, we can determine in our laboratories the degree to which our ingredients have yin or yang energetic values.

How do you put energy in Qivo snacks?

We select our nuts, fruits, spices and herbs for their inherent health, taste and energy benefits. Then, we blend and balance our ingredients in accordance to their unique yin or yang qualities. Our proprietary Qi herbs are dusted onto the nuts immediately after the roasting process, to ensure that each delectable bite provides the intended taste and energy benefit.

Are your herbs tested for safety?

Yes, safety is a major concern for us. Our herbs pass rigorous testing including species authentication, as well as for things such as pesticides, yeast, mold, salmonella, and heavy metals.

How much Qivo can I eat?

We’ve carefully calibrated each blend to give you the maximum benefit from a handful a day, about 1/3 of a cup. Of course, once you taste them, you may not want to stop there… and it’s OK if you don’t.

Are there going to be other flavors?

Absolutely. You see, the whole concept of Qivo snacks is to combine timeless wisdom with modern global flavors. In fact, as you’re reading this right now, we’re cooking up more unique and exotic flavors.

How will I know it’s working?

Qivo’s nuts, fruits, herbs and spices work on both a physical and energetic level. The more attuned you are to your body and how it responds to what you eat, the more you’ll become aware of the balancing and nourishing benefits. As you incorporate more energetically enhancing components into your diet and lifestyle, you’ll notice the cumulative effects of your choices. All of which feeds an overall sense of well-being.

Do your Snacks contain Allergies?

All of our products contain tree nuts. We produced our snacks in a facility that also processes seeds and may contain nut shell pieces. However, our snacks are made in a Peanut-free Facility.

Does highly refined peanut oil contain a peanut allergy?

Interesting enough, no it does not! The FDA exempts highly refined peanut oil from being labeled as an allergen, as peanut oil is generally considered safe for those with peanut allergy because the processing separates the protein from the oil. Studies show that most individuals with peanut allergy can safely eat peanut oil (but not cold-pressed, expelled or extruded peanut oil – sometimes represented as gourmet oils). If you are allergic to peanuts, we recommend that you should always ask your doctor whether or not you should avoid peanut oil.

What dietary restrictions do your snacks follow?

Most of our snacks are gluten free, non-gmo, vegetarian, vegan, soy free, immunity boosting, contains Superfoods and with No Added Sugar. Please check the individual flavor pages for more information.
